Covergasm Blog Giveaway Hop

Covergasm Hop

Yep. This one is ALL about the covers. The ones that just make you gasp and go..oh my, I NEED this book. Now! Those that are truly...covergasm-worthy. Stop by each blog to check out their favorites! There will be a giveaway at each stop plus a grand prize giveaway of an Amazon Gift Card! Happy Hopping!

Welcome to my stop on the Covergasm Blog Giveaway Hop hosted by Herding Cats & Burning Soup. I have decided to giveaway  an Amazon US$10 gift card.

I am a cover slut! Really, I buy many books only by it's cover without even reading the blurb. I only buy books with an ugly cover if I already know the author, or If I follow the series, or if someone that I trust recommends it. What about you: does cover matters to you?

  1. I totally choose books based on covers, the blurb is always read second but the cover is what draws my interest.

  2. I am such a cover whore. I DO judge books by their covers.

  3. I don't notice covers as much with all the e-books...usually it's only if a bad one turns me off (headless torso, same Photoshopped people over and over).

  6. A great cover gets me interested enough to check the book out.

  7. An attractive cover will catch my eye, and more often than not, leads to a great read. :)

  8. A cover will draw me to a book but still must have a good summary!

  9. Cover leaves the first impression, but if the summary sounds good, I'm usually able to look past a bad cover :)

  10. How the covers looks does matter. But I always read the blurb or a revieuw on GR before I buying it.

  11. I totally judge books by their covers, as they attract my attention in the first place.

  12. I'm definitely attracted by the cover, but it doesn't directly influence my purchase.

  13. Oh yes, I definitely judge a book by its cover. Which is probably bad, and shallow, but pretty covers attract my attention.

  14. I try not to, but I can't help it! Covers are what draws your attention.

  15. Yes, I do. I always buy book based on the cover and blurb.

  16. Yes..I always do.
Thanks a lot for the giveaway!

  17. Covers don't really influence me. I rely on book reviews when I buy books. Although I will check out the synopsis on a book with a great cover.

  18. I do judge a book by it's cover. I admit it. I’m a cover slut. Covers do make a big difference. If they catch my attention, then I will check out the blurb. To catch my attention, a cover needs to have a sexy man or 2 on it. He can be ½ naked or fully clothed, but if he has a bit of a 5 o’clock shadow, and some ink on his muscles, I am grabbing the book. LOL
I bought so many books based on cover alone. Most of my “must read series” or “go2authors” are because the very first book of theirs I bought was based on the cover.

  19. Yes, I do judge a book by its cover. It's the first thing I see and if it catches my attention, I'm more likely to look at it.

  20. I am one of those people that judge a book by its cover.

  21. I do, actually. Usually because it's a great indicator of genre.

  22. I do judge a book by it's cover. An ugly cover or cover that doesn't fit the blurb will turn me off.

  23. Yes, I do. That's how I discovered The Fault in Our Stars. I saw it and I thought the cover's cute.

  24. I admit I do judge books by their covers and titles. I gravitate towards books with punny titles (usually cozy mysteries).

  25. I have judged books by the covers before, and most of the time I am right (as far as not liking a book) but I have been pleasantly surprised. I almost didn't buy The Fault In Our Stars and I ended up loving it.

  26. I try not to judge a book by its cover, but sometimes it's too tempting!

Thank you for the chance to win :)

  28. no I don't but it does help to find my kind in a used books store and it may draw me to the book but it what it say's on the back that draws me.

  29. The cover initially grabs my attention but it's the blurb that grabs me. However I am more apt to buy the print book if it has a great cover.

  30. If it is an established author for me then not so much. If the author is new to me I do pay attention to the cover.

    ReplyDelete
  31. No! For me, it's the book blurb :)

  32. I have been known to judge my kindle books by their covers.
